Bamio is a tool that can organize all your social activities and events, both personally and professionally. Go to a sport activity which you have been invited, organize a trip for leisure or work anywhere, find a place where you can take beer with friends on Friday … share your activity

This is the phrase that we have established in the temporary Bamio’s homepage while we are waiting for the first alpha. On August, ee plan to launch a first experimental version for a small circle of users as a private alpha. During September will launch a private beta for all users who request it. And a few weeks after that, an open beta will be launched, hoping to have an initial version fully functional.

As always, the usual development incidents will attempt to destroy our plans in terms of time estimates. Will we succeed to win them?

It’s too early to release a first alpha, so we will be able to display Bamio screenshots running. The look is very carefully and taking into account the fact that functionality and usability must be very important.

Temporarily until we could show the first trial, we have established a home page on which users can enter their email address in order to test the private beta, which we expect to have available approximately on September 2009.

Bamio’s logo it’s a bee, and we call it Beemio

For several months of planning and development, we start to offer information about Bamio through this blog. At this moment the logical question is:

What is Bamio? The short answer is that Bamio is a social network. The long answer is that Bamio is a place where we can organize our activities, events and daily life, with only a few clicks.

Bamio is a project very amazing. But, why we development it? This question leads us to dividing the motives in order to create a new project in two big groups:

Project creation to answer to a search of a new area to developing. It can be said by other way, to create for creating

Project creation before a need that arises in a certain moment

Bamio is inside the second option. We set up certain parameters that Bamio must carry out since first day:

Innovation and originality: Bamio’s intention is not to copy any system

We are not going to invent the wheel: although the first aim is the innovation and originality, Bamio will not flee of any existing methodology either. We will use the rationality in this respect

Usability, usability, usability

Simple and attractive design.

Once definite these basic aspects together with Bamio’s principal aim (on which we will speak later), the design and development was begun.
Welcome to Bamio
